Description:
The Bakersfield Ronald McDonald House needs volunteers to staff the house each and every day. You can attend one of the monthly informational meetings to learn about how you can volunteer as an individual or group. Volunteers interact directly with families to welcome them to the house, make them comfortable and feel welcome while they are utlizing the "house".
Volunteers care for the "house", housekeeping duties on an as needed basis (running the dishwasher, general light clean up), etc.
Assist families with familiarizing themselves with kitchen appliances in order for them to prepare their meals, instructing families on conveniences found in the house for their use and assisting the family as needed. Location of towels, bedding, etc.

Shifts can be arranged with coordinators according to time availability of the volunteer.
This "house" operated 24 hours per day , 7 days per week.
Must submit to a background check, provide evidence of a physical including TB Test, be drug tested by the hospital and attend orientation and follow-up training/informational meetings as scheduled.
Volunteers can be high-school aged or above. There is no restriction as to the maximum age for our volunteers.
