United Way of Northeast Louisiana also provides an Information & Referral service that gives people in Northeast Louisiana a fast, easy way to get connected to resources and services in their community.  United Way  2-1-1 is a free, easy-to-remember three digit telephone number.  With just one call, inquirers can speak with a caring, highly trained person who will:  

  • Listen and respect confidentiality
  • Access their needs
  • Offer emotional support                                                                
  • Provide referrals
  • Conduct follow-up
  • Advocate on their behalf

Volunteer Opportunities

United Way 2-1-1 is also the premier telephone number and one source for connections to volunteer community service.  Inquirers who want to volunteer can get connected to opportunities to serve that match their interests, talents and availability.  Nonprofit agencies can find volunteers who can provide services to help them.
