Fresno Convoy of Hope is a one-day community outreach event taking place on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Edison Computech Middle School. This outreach is designed to provide a day of hope for the poor and hurting people in our community. The event is free of charge to all guests, and will provide the following services: an on-site meal, groceries, medical & dental screenings, haircuts, games & activities for kids, and family entertainment throughout the day. Connections will established through job fairs, community service organizations, churches, and government agencies. We are expecting 10,000 + guests the day of the event, and anticipate needing at least 1,000 volunteers. There will be a volunteer rally on Friday, November 6, 2009 at 7 pm at Fresno Pacific University. All volunteers are required to attend this event to obtain additional information about the event and the 15 areas available to serve the following day. Belgravia Ave. Fresno 93706. We can also use help during the set-up process on November 5 & 6. Set-up projects include setting up fencing, chairs, tables, electrical power, promotional banners and signs, etc.
