Our Mission:
The mission of the Adams Cheshire Savoy Youth Coalition is to ensure that the youth in our community have access to the resources they need to lead healthy, happy and productive lives. Additionally, the ACS Youth Coalition goal is to unite the strengths of member organizations in order to enhance the lives of children, youth and families in Adams, Cheshire and Savoy. The objectives of the Youth Coalition are to:
ý Expand Positive Youth Development initiatives, family and neighborhood supports, vocational skills, development and employment options for all young people;
ý Expand Youth Development and Enrichment Programs in school and community sites;
ý Enhance agency and staff capability through training opportunities, workshops, seminars, and conferences (such as the 40 Developmental Assets, Risk and Protective Factors);
ý Assist member agencies to utilize local, regional, statewide and national resources;
ý Advocate with young people to assure them a voice in creating a "Youth Agenda" in their respective towns.
