The Volunteer Resource Center is pleased to become a member of 1-800-Volunteer.org, a service provided by the Points of Light Foundation and Volunteer Center National Network. This site extends the Volunteer Resource Centers reach throughout the community by providing an "online-hub," which promotes and facilitates volunteerism throughout Calvert and surrounding counties by enabling volunteer opportunities in a variety of ways. Through the Points of Light Foundation Volunteer Resource Center and 1-800-Volunteer.org we are able to provide quality volunteer opportunites and experiences that provide critical services to the citizens of Southern Maryland.
Getting Started
Use the Quick Search in the toolbar above or the advanced search to find a volunteer opportunity perfect for you. Search by keyword, issue area addressed, type of opportunity, youth and family opportunities and much more!
Volunteers may visit our calendar to view special events, volunteer trainings and one-time volunteer opportunities or view our list of registered organizations and their opportunities.
Creating a volunteer account will allow you to:

view contact information for each volunteer opportunity.

submit an online form that will automatically notify the agency of your interest in their volunteer opportunity, providing them with your contact information and message. They will then contact you about volunteering.

register your skills so that organizations may search for you and invite you to participate.

Track your volunteer hours and upcoming volunteer opportunities.

Establish VolunteerAlerts so that you will be notified when new opportunities are posted that match your interests.
