On November 7, 2009, Durham Community Land Trustees (DCLT) will sponsor a Make A Difference Day project in Durham’s West End neigborhoods.  Make a Difference Day is a national day of neighbors helping neighbors, all across America neighbors will be coming together to help each other.  Make A Difference Day was created by USA Weekend Magazine and the National Points of Light Foundation.  It is held every 4^th Saturday in October.

DCLT is recruiting 50 volunteers on Make A Difference Day to help paint, landscape, and power wash homes for low-to-moderate income families in Durham’s southwest central neighborhoods.  Breakfast and lunch will be provided.  Those interested in volunteering should submit a Volunteer Registration Form.  For registration forms and further information about Make A Difference Day please visit www.dclt.org or contact us at 919-490-0063 ext.107.
