Summer Camp Companion
What
  Camp Quality Michigan
Description:
A camper's "best friend for the week" is their Camp Quality Companion. The caring and supportive relationship between the pair begins at camp, and continues to be fostered throughout the year. In many cases, Camp Quality kids develop such strong friendships with their quality companions that they ask to be matched up year after year.

Camp Quality Companions come from all walks of life--teachers, college students, lawyers, young professionals, retired professionals, police officers, firefighters. Quality companions must be willing to invest their time, energy and heart into the experience of their camper . . .but the return is priceless.

No special skill or medical training is needed. We seek caring adults who want to build a friendship with a special child. Companions are fun to be with, adventuresome, great listeners and are always sharing their love for life.

n addition, a wide variety of staff are required for every camp. Volunteers are needed in areas such as crafts, food service, special programming, and medical.

Two seperate camps offer opportunities:
July at YMCA Camp copneconic in Fenton, MI
August at Camp Daggett in Petoskey, MI
