The United Way of Northwest Michigan Volunteer Center is...
- Youth and Adult Volunteering
We are committed to connecting volunteers of any age with opportunities to serve the community. Whether you are a kid under 18 or a kid at heart; whether you want to lend your skills and hard-earned wisdom or your muscles and smiles – we want to help find experiences that are meaningful to you. Call Amanda Hilt, 947-3200 Ext. 206 or amanda@unitedwaynwmi.org
Ideally there is a point where family life merges with community life and demands on our time are not so conflicting. We will help you spend time together as a family, having fun, while giving back to your community. Just as children learn to share, they learn what it means to give, as well. Call Amanda Hilt, 947-3200 Ext. 206 or amanda@unitedwaynwmi.org
Consider RSVP, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program. Use your life skills to make a difference in your community. RSVP provides flexibility plus added benefits for its volunteers, such as supplemental insurance and mileage reimbursement. All you need to do is report your monthly hours of volunteer service! Call Susan McQuiad, 947-3200 Ext. 205 or susan@unitedwaynwmi.org
- Business Volunteerism Investment Program!
The Business Volunteerism Investment Program (VIP) will begin in the first quarter of 2008! Long-term commitments to workplace volunteering create healthier and stronger communities – customers, neighbors, friends and families – that directly benefit our overall business community. Research has also shown that businesses that promote volunteerism report significant increases in employee commitment and productivity, and improved public and community relations. Call Susan McQuaid, 947-3200 Ext. 205 or susan@unitedwaynwmi.org
