About: American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Memphis Chapter
Mission: AFSP is the leading not-for-profit organization exclusively dedicated to understanding and preventing suicide through research and education, and to reaching out to people with mood disorders and those impacted by suicide. The Memphis Chapter carries out the work of the Foundation in the greater Memphis area by providing educational programs to increase suicide prevention awareness, by reaching out to survivors who have lost a loved one to suicide, and by conducting fundraisers to support the research efforts and educational programs of the Foundation.
