Description:
Looking for more fun and interactive ways to make a difference in a child’s life?
Reading Partners has recently launched a new after school program to be implemented at Sherman Elementary School. The program consists of homework help, physical education, and miscellaneous enrichment activities. These activities allow for considerable flexibility in terms of what is taught. Exploratory field trips will be held on Friday through the neighborhood or city. We welcome a wide range of talents and hope that you will take the time to help further this program.
To recap, volunteers will have the opportunity to:
Teach an afterschool curriculum, such as garden time, with a small group of children.
Lead an enrichment workshop, such as science experiments, athletic games, art, literacy development, and many more!!
Helping students with their homework
Assisting with exploratory field trips on Friday through the neighborhood or the city
Opportunities are available Monday-Friday from 1:45-5:30pm. If you are interested in participating in this new additional afterschool program, please contact Salleha, Reading Partners Outreach Coordinator, at salleha@readingpartners.org.
