Description:
Help ensure low-income people get full, balanced meals by assisting with the storage, delivery and tracking of food to local food banks and senior nutrition sites. You'll be working primarily in the Port Townsend Food Distribution warehouse and helping pick up and load food. You should be punctual, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision in a cold, crowded environment. -- OlyCAP's Food Bank Distribution Program stores food for and distributes to 12 area food bank, soup kitchens and senior nutrition sites.

Special Requirements:   Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and move boxes for a prolonged period. -- Valid driver license, insurance and an insurable driving record -- All OlyCAP volunteer positions require confidentiality agreements and criminal background checks. These requirements are in no way a reflection on the volunteer, but represent our best efforts to protect the well-being and privacy of the vulnerable populations we serve.
