Our Mission:

The Volunteer Center of Fond du Lac County mobilizes people and resources within our communities by connecting volunteers and opportunities to serve.

What We Do:

Connect People with Opportunities to Serve
  • Recruitment and referral of volunteers based on interests, skills, and availability with appropriate volunteer opportunities or community needs
  • Engage volunteers in meaningful volunteer experiences and service learning opportunities through Youth Service Day, youth opportunitiy booklets, and FdL Service Learning Curriculum
  • Maintain hundreds of volunteer opportunities from area community organizations and non-profit agencies
Promote Volunteering
  • Publicize the need for volunteers in our community through media and marketing efforts
  • Facilitiate community events that bring volunteers and agency partners together
  • Celebrate volunteerism through volunteer recognition events (Cheers for Volunteers and National Volunteer Week)
Build Capacity for Effective Volunteering
  • Host quarterly Volunteer Connections meetings with community organizations/agencies
  • Maintain a resource library of volunteer management information/best practices
  • Provide volunteer management training and consulting
Participate in Strategic Initiatives that meet Local Needs
  • With various partners, organize community volunteer events:  Make A Difference Day , Volunteer Fairs, and Marrow-thon
  • Actively participate in the development of community programs that utilize volunteers (HOPE Mentoring program)
