Description:
ElderFriends is committed to relieving social isolation among our community elders. We are looking for volunteers who want to pair up together and visit an isolated and lonely elder at least once a week for a year. By joining the ElderFriends mission with a friend, volunteers can coordinate their schedules and "trade off" visiting the elder. It’s a win win situation - the elder gets a weekly visit and two new friends while the volunteers get added flexibility and support. There is an application process, mandatory training and support.
