Description:
Give not only your time but your heart - be a friend to someone who needs a friend and have fun while you do it. Family Lifeline's ElderFriends Program needs volunteers to provide weekly friendly visits to isolated and lonely community elders. You know - there is always paperwork - but it's painless - application packet and background check. ElderFriends staff provide training and on-going support. When you visit is flexible and up to you and your elder however since your elder needs time to get to know you and build a bond - we ask you commit for a year. Many of our volunteers report getting as much as they give.
