VOLUNTEER GROUPS
Singles for Charities  provides volunteers for fundraisers
& special events for agencies island-wide.

LIfe's WORC - small groups with staff supervision available Monday-Friday for 2 hours per day between 10am-2pm. Contact Day Habilitation Coordinator at 516-741-9000.

The Mature Worker Program is a partnership between the Urban League of Long Island, the National Urban League and the United States Department of Labor that provides "Community Service Employment Training" to unemployed, low-income individuals 55 years of age and older who are interested in re-entering the workforce.  Host agencies provide up to 20 hours a week of valuable on-the-job training and skill develoment that can lead to employment. Participants are paid minimum wage via the Urban League of Long island.
