Thanksgiving Day & Soup Kitchens - Many wonderful offers come from those of you who have time and want to serve in soup kitchens on Thanksgiving Day. Most of the limited spots are filled by those connected to the organization year round. The REAL NEED IS BEFORE Thanksgiving Day. Families want to spend the day together but need donations of turkey & the fixings to make the day special and give thanks with their loved ones. There are many Long Island programs working diligently to help these families. Search LIVC's website with the Keyword FOOD and you will find the agencies and programs that would welcome your assistance.
