Search for Volunteer Opportunities in Metro Volunteers'

1-800 Volunteers.org Searchable Database.

Volunteer opportunities are searchable by city or zip code, and, by clicking on “Advanced Search” by organization, issue area or population served. To begin your search, follow these easy steps;

You can search for volunteer opportunities anonymously, but in order to contact organizations directly about the opportunities posted in the system you must first create an account.

To do this, click the “Create Account” tab at the top right corner of this page. You may also “Login” here if you already have a 1-800 Volunteers account. On the registration page click on the link that says “Volunteers and Groups”.

If you are creating an account, please follow the instructions and fill out the “Basic Information” and “Skills and Availability” sections.

You may now search opportunities by Keyword, Zip Code or City and State using the search bar. For more search options, you may click on “Advanced Search”. Advanced Search allows you to search opportunities by location, availability, organization, issue areas addressed, skills, age, accessibility and/or the program type.

Your search should return several volunteer opportunities. For more details on any opportunity, click the title. If you are interested in an opportunity, fill out the “Express Interest” form (this will be a green column next to the opportunity description). The agency should contact you soon!
