Description:
Despite the relative wealth of Montgomery County, there are many families who cannot afford to buy the food needed for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Help us put together Thanksgiving baskets for them by joining us for a shopping excursion to purchase the food. The children will be given a list of items to purchase, along with a budget. By doing all of the shopping, the children will learn how to find items in a grocery store and how to stay on a budget when shopping.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Because we are an all-volunteer organization, we do not have staff available to help supervise children while we are working at the homeless shelter. Therefore, we ask that a parent or guardian remain with their children during this event. This is also a wonderful opportunity to spend some time serving others as a family!
NOTE: This event (and all volunteer events through KidzCare USA) is open to children ages 5-17 (accompanied by parent/guardian). All adult participants must be accompanied by a child.
