Give a Day Get a Disney Day,

A Success for Santa Cruz!

On Tuesday, March 10th, Disney announced they had gifted their millionth theme park pass, and had accomplished their goal of inspiring one million Americans in service to their community.  Their goal took all but two and a half months!

Here at the Volunteer Center we want to thank the 1,700 plus volunteers who registered with us, as well as our 1-800 Volunteer partner agencies who made this program possible in Santa Cruz.  We've received an overwhelming positive response from participants, many of whom volunteered for the first time, and are continuing to serve our community.  Our partner agencies have been thrilled as well, not only will the projects they were able to undertake thanks to volunteers, but the positive and willing attitude of the volunteers.  It is our hope that participants will continue to serve, as many agencies within the county simply could not exist without willing community members sharing their time and talents.

The Volunteer Center would like to extend a huge thank you to all those who made this program a success for our community.  See you at "the happiest place on earth!"
