What is the Volunteer Center of Skagit County Community Action Agency?

Skagit County Community Action Agency is a non-profit organization that helps people reach their potential; provding them with the tools and the training to achieve their goals, their dreams, and ambitions. As a Community Action program, the Volunteer Center works to improve the quality of life in Skagit County through recruiting and placing volunteers, supporting non-profit organizations to do their important work well, and connecting people to information and resources that lead to the delivery of effective community service.

United Way Skagit County Days of Caring

     Days of Caring is a community wide event that matches projects at non-profit organizations with volunteer groups committed to making positive changes in the community. New landscaping around Community Action was completed by the Mount Vernon School District Administrative Team and painting a Community Action building was done by Skagit Valley Hospital Maintenance Team with discounts provided on paint by Sherwin-Williams and equipment by Birch Equipment.
