In each community, a community advisory committee identifies the priority area, focusing on specific outcomes and target populations. In Horry County, the priority focus area is Civic Engagement and Positive Human Relations. The goal is to encourage and enable all residents to participate effectively in the democratic process, form ties to local institutions and strengthen relationships with one another.
