Description:
Experience the many rewards of being a hospice volunteer in homes, nursing facilities, and at the Isreal Family Hospice House in Ames. New Hospice Volunteer Training for Mary Greeley Medical Center HOMEWARD will take place at MGMC on June 20 and 27 from 8-4. Volunteers must attend all sessions. Commitment for volunteering is a long term assignment, one year or longer. New Hospice Volunteer Training for Mary Greeley Medical Center HOMEWARD will take place at MGMC on June 20 and 27 from 8-4. Volunteers must attend all sessions.
Preregistration required. Application, interview, and background check must be completed prior to training. Applicants also must be at least 18 years of age and have a desire to give back, listen, and comfort others. Persons experiencing a recent loss are encouraged to wait one year before volunteering for hospice.
