Description:
The Front Desk Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Program Associate. The role of the Front Desk Assistant is to provide excellent customer service for all community members and to support staff. The following are the basic expectations of a Front Desk Assistant. Specific responsibilities and expectations vary slightly from area to area.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Provide friendly and professional customer service at the front desk.
2.Answer phones and respond to inquiries.
3.Serve as an information resource concerning YMCA programs and activities.
4.Develop and maintain a close, supportive working relationship with staff members in the office.
5.Provide front desk coverage as scheduled/needed.
6.Encourage community members to participate in YMCA programs and activities.
7.Uphold and enforce office policies when necessary.
8.Attend Volunteer/Staff Training.
9.Complete and maintain paperwork as it relates to front desk responsibilities.
10.Other duties as assigned.
