Description:
Tulsa Animal Welfare is in need of volunteer drivers to transport animals between the City of Tulsa Animal shelter and the Denver, CO area for adoption and medical services.

Tulsa Animal Welfare volunteer drivers must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid driver’s license with no restrictions. We are looking for volunteers who can commit to a round trip (generally two day trip) from the Tulsa Animal Welfare shelter to the Denver/Boulder area at least once a month. Drivers will either drive a vehicle provided or can provide their own transportation. Additional expenses are covered by private donors and/or City of Tulsa. Trips often can travel in teams of two. Additional training will be provided.

Lodging Details:  Expenses for lodging are covered by private donors and the City of Tulsa.
Special Requirements:   Drivers must be comfortable around cats and dogs. And be able to lift up up to 50lbs.
