The people of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan have long been known for lending a hand where needed. Now the U.P. Volunteer Network and UPvolunteer.org make it easier than ever.
The U.P. Volunteer Network is a collaborative initiative that brings volunteers and organizations together throughout the U.P. UPvolunteer.org helps accomplish that goal. With UPvolunteer.org, organizations can post their volunteer opportunities free of charge, and anyone can look at the opportunities and find a match for their skills and interests.
Are you an organization in need of volunteers? You can create an account that will allow you to recruit volunteers in your community, manage volunteer schedules, streamline communication with volunteers using automated tools, and report your success. To create your account and register your volunteer opportunities, click here.
Are you a volunteer wondering how to get started? Use the Quick Search in the toolbar above or the advanced search to find a volunteer opportunity perfect for you. Visit our calendar for events and opportunities or check out a list of registered organizations.
You can also create a volunteer account. Doing so will allow you to view the contact information for each volunteer opportunity. Then, once you find a volunteer opportunity that interests you, you may submit the online form to the organization and it will automatically be emailed to the agency with your message and contact information. They will contact you about volunteering.
Your volunteer account is free, safe and easy to complete. It also allows you to track your volunteer hours, receive automatic updates when new opportunities are posted according to your interests, and more. Once you've created an account, simply log in each time you want to use your account.
