Description:
Bell Ringers across the country are helping The Salvation Army provide Toys, Christmas dinners and other basic services to struggling families during the Holidays. In Southern California, we hope to help over 100,000 families this Christmas. Please Join The Salvation Army this holiday by participating in an American Tradition and Ring the Bell at a Red Kettle in your community.
Bell Ringers may volunteer as individuals, as a family or larger group at a location near you! You can sing carols, play an instrument and RING the bell - spreading Christmas Joy and reminding our community that the Greatest Gift you can give is Sharing and Caring for your fellow man.
Just a few hours of your time will make a huge difference for those in need. The traditional red kettle is an integral part of the Christmas scene, with millions of dollars donated each year to aid needy families, seniors, and the homeless, in keeping with the spirit of the season.
Donations provide Christmas dinners, clothing, and toys for families in need. Financial assistance also helps with basic necessities, along with seasonal aid. Many families receive aid over a period of months after the Christmas season as well. The Salvation Army is committed to helping people struggling with job loss, health problems and other crises that can devastate a family. We provide physical, emotional and spiritual assistance when families need it most. The best thing about volunteering with the kettles is the money donated to your kettle goes directly to social services in your area, so you will get to see the impact you are making first hand!
Hours are very flexible and there are numerous sites across Southern California. Minors under 18 can volunteer with parental supervision.
