Southeast Missouri Area Agency on Aging The Southeast Missouri Area Agency on Aging was incorporated on October 1, 1973. Their primary goal is to provide services to enhance the quality of life for senior citizens living in an eighteen county region. Services offered through SEMO AAA are provided to clients either through direct service or through a contracted service provider. There is no charge for any of these services, however, donations are gratefully accepted. Six of the thirty-three senior centers in their area are direct service centers. Other direct services include: Advocacy, Information and Assistance, EVE Project, Ombudsmen Program, Family Caregiver Support Program, and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program in the counties of Cape Girardeau, Scott, New Madrid, and Pemiscot Counties as well the the newly formed Volunteer Intergenerational Center which covers the Cape Girardeau and Scott County areas.
