If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, there are two ways you can search for volunteer opportunities. Put in a Keyword (category) in the Search Box. Please be sure to include your zip code. This will bring up several volunteer opportunities in the field you request and in the community you want to volunteer. Another way to access volunteer opportunities is by clicking on Browse Organizations which is located on the Left Hand Corner of this website. You can look through the various organizations of what opportunities they have posted.
If you are a New Organization wanting to list your opportunities, click Login on the Left Hand Corner and Create an Account. You will then be able to list all your volunteer opportunities and potential volunteers will be able to search and find your organization.
The Volunteer Intergenerational Center (VIC) and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) together are the organizations of choice for recruiting and referring volunteers.
RSVP and VIC recruits volunteers of all ages in order to help expand services in non-profit agencies who are struggling with today's social issues and problems. These agencies connect volunteers and resources so that they may work as effectively and efficiently as possible to create positive change for our communities in Cape Girardeau and Scott Counties.
Volunteers have the opportunity to contribute their talents and skills to benefit others, thus, enhancing the quality of life for all.
