Description:
Prepare food for the animals; includes chopping vegetables, fruits, fish and other items as well as portioning out items such as rabbit chow, etc.
Clean and disinfect cages, crates, and animal areas.
Handle certain animals when necessary, using appropriate methods as explained by staff.
Ensure that adequate inventory of food and supplies is maintained; restocking, and advising staff when low.
Wash dishes and utensils at end of the shift.

Generally, shifts are from 9am to 1pm. Other morning shift times can be arranged, for example, 8am - Noon.
At least 18 years of age.
Strong interest in wildlife or natural history.
Previous animal handling experience desired, with wild animal experience referred.
Willing to work in old clothes and to get dirty at times.
Desired qualification, but not required: Pre-exposure rabies shots
