Description:
Louisiana Delta Service Corps has 55 AmeriCorps positions in Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Start September 1st and serve 11 months full time in a non-profit or community organization. Earn a living allowance of $11,700 plus receive tons of professional development. Other benefits include health insurance, student loan forbearance, child care reimbursement and an education award of $4,725 to pay off student loans or go back to school.

Time Details:
Members serve full time for 11 months. Weekly hours can be flexible but must add up to 40 hours per week.
Must be 18 years of age or older, have a high school diploma or ged, can not be a felon, and are a US citizen. Candidates must also have the desire to serve their community, be able to work as part of a team and have a positive attitude. Reliable transportation is a must. Members will also need to attend monthly team meetings and 2 out of town trainings during the year (3 days each).
