The Volunteer Connection is a volunteer mobilization, in-kind referral and recognition service for over 250 area nonprofit organizations registered with VBR! Activities include referring volunteers to agencies and opportunities that match the volunteer’s interests and talents; publicly recognizing volunteers through awards and special events. The Where Service Matters program on WAFB-TV is our most visible recognition event; and referring in-kind donations to registered agencies in need.

| Hands On Baton Rouge provides managed, meaningful, episodic volunteer opportunities to the community. The goal is to broaden the number of individuals, groups and families engaged in volunteering as a means to solve our community’s most critical social issues.

| VolunTEENs: promotes the ethic of volunteerism in our community’s youth through quality experiences that serve the community and simultaneously enrich the participating teens. After school, weekend, holiday and summer projects are coordinated by VBR! for students in grades 7-12. The VolunTEENs staff created projects which include work with the elderly, the homeless, children in underserved neighborhoods, the disabled, the illiterate, community festivals, the arts, the environment and more. Since 1990 over 6,000 TEENs have served on 1,100 projects for over 130,000 service hours and impacting 825,000 individuals. |
| Corporate Volunteer Council (CVC) whose mission is to promote, foster and encourage corporate volunteerism among corporations and businesses within the area. This professional organization is composed of a diverse group of area companies that network to share ideas and information on corporate volunteer programs and issues of community concern. |

Directors of Volunteers in Agencies (D.O.V.I.A.) whose mission is to provide a forum for the development and enhancement of volunteering and the best practices of volunteer management. D.O.V.I.A. provides its members networking opportunities, the best practices of volunteer management from local and national experts and mentoring for new and seasoned paid and unpaid volunteer managers.
