The Volunteer Network of Mendocino County
"Improving The Quality Of Life Through Volunteerism!"

Who We Are

The Volunteer Network of Mendocino County is a group of people who came together from all over Mendocino County to provide direct help to Mendocino County communities. Our program has been developed to meet the ever-changing needs of our community and incorporate and promote opportunities to serve through volunteerism.

The Volunteer Network helps recruit and place volunteers with local non-profit agencies. Many of these agencies currently have opportunities for volunteers who would like to share their skills and talents assisting with the variety of needs that exist in Mendocino County. Every non-profit organization relies on volunteers to assist in the development and expansion of their services. Volunteers need not be highly trained individuals. They need only be people who care and have a few hours to share.

The Volunteer Center helps individuals and groups who want to volunteer by:

  • Showing volunteers where they are needed in their community and how, by sharing their time and talents, they can make a difference.

  • Matching volunters abilities, interests and time availability with appropriate volunteer opportunities.

  • Informing volunteers of community special events.

  • Conducting educational workshops.

  • Acknowledging outstanding community volunteer efforts through our annual Mendocino County Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Awards program and dinner.
