Human Race - The largest collaborative fund-raising event in Sonoma County and the largest Human Race in the nation! Over 8000 walkers and runners join forces to raise over one million dollars for 400+ nonprofit organizations.
Hands Across the County - A special morning when residents work together to clean up our local envirnonment and make needed improvements at schools and nonprofit organizations. Over the years the 1500+ volunteers have gardened, cleaned and built playgrounds, painted, repaired library books, and developed new friendships at hundreds of sites.
Holiday Giving Tree - Each year over 15,000 gifts are provided to the clients of 130 social service agencies. Business, agencies and individuals work together in a collaborative community-wide effort that brings joy and hope to everyone involved.
National Youth Service Day - Offers youth from grades 6 through college the opportunity to design and implement a one day project that addresses community needs. The projects involve over 200 youth volunteers serving the community for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Cesar Chavez Day adn National Volunteer Week.
RSVP Recognition Luncheon - A county-wide recognition luncheon, honoring the service of senior volunteers, aged 55+, who donate over 125,000 of service hours annually.
Sweetheart Ball - Created by Charles M. Schulz - one of Sonoma County's finest and most fun formal dinner dances. Each year, a magical fantasyland is created for a night filled with food, frolic and auctions. The money raised provides funds for the Volunteer Center's many programs.
Volunteer Recognition Luncheon - Each year, nonprofit organizations nominate volunteers form their ranks whose accomplishments have changes the face of our community. Over 150 nominees receive special recognition before teh 400+ luncheon guests form the nonprofit and private sectors.
