Description:
Seeking flexible assistant interested in public health, prevention education, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), and working with youth and young adults. Testing for HIV disease is a free public service, anonymous or confidential, and does not involve blood or needles. Applicants should feel comfortable speaking about intimate matters with many vulnerable populations. Opportunities for counseling and testing include the OASIS office test site, local juvenile detention facilities, substance abuse treatment facilities, churches, special events etc. Position is ideal for those interested in health education/nursing, seniors, or committed social work/mental health students or interns.
