Volunteer Okaloosa/Walton is an internal program of the United Way of Okaloosa and Walton counties. It serves as a community resource center on volunteerism and a gateway to volunteer involvement. We are a member of the Points of Light Foundation and Volunteer Center National Network, a network that reaches 140 million people in thousands of communities. We are also a member of Volunteer Florida, the Governor's Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service.
Under the guidance of our local United Way, Volunteer Okaloosa/Walton is a resource devoted solely to the promotion and nurturing of volunteerism and civic engagement. The Volunteer Center promotes and provides easy access to volunteer opportunities, links people who want to help with places and causes that need help and mobilizes volunteers to meet local needs.
Mission: To engage individuals and groups in meaningful volunteer opportunities that meet real community needs.
Vision: Our vision is to identify the needs of our community and mobilize people and resources to deliver creative solutions to those issues.
