To provide experiences that encourage connections between people, the natural environment, farming and the cultural heritage of the Potomac River Watershed leading to personal environmental responsibility. Each year since 1970, Hard Bargain Farm has welcomed more than 10,000 children from across Maryland for one-day and overnight programs each year. This award winning program works to connect students with the land, providing them opportunities to interact with the environment and help motivate them to protect and restore our natural surroundings and their own communities. Students Pre-K thru 12 grades currently visit Hard Bargain Farm and participate in our environmental education programs.
