Description:
Would you like to:
*Get to know and work with the most creative kids in the world
*Help them learn the skills to solve interesting and fun challenges
*Share in their lives and make a difference
*Know you contributed something important to the lives of
children.
A good DI team manager has patience – patience to let the kids come up with their own solution without interference. A manager needs to become familiar enough with the program to help get the team registered, understand the “rules of the road”, and learn some simple creative problem solving tools that you can share with the kids. A manager should be prepared to have a group of kids over to their house about once a week and not get too upset if there is a little clean-up after they leave. Good managers involve team member’s parents to bring snacks and provide some volunteer help at tournament time. A manager should be prepared to help the kids resolve occasional disagreements in a positive manner. And above all, a manager should encourage the kids to have fun. There is a lot of help available to show you how to do these things.

Time Details:
Team meetings will be based on the team manager's and team members' schedules.
A Realistic Time Commitment:
A manager should be prepared to spend two to three hours a week with the team. This may increase near tournament time. They should be
prepared to give up one Saturday in January, February and March for Instant Challenge Day, Regional Showcase (dress rehearsal) and the State Tournament. If your team wins at state, it will be a team, parent and team manager decision whether or not to spend the time fund raising for a week in Tennessee for Global Finals at the end of May.
Must participate in training meetings, have the ability to work with a small group of students. May have to undergo background check and follow sponsoring school policies.
