Bike and Walk MS Teams Intern
What
Description:
The Colorado Chapter of the National MS Society is looking for an energetic, driven and dependable individual to unify the Walk and Bike MS team programs.

Walk and Bike MS teams move our organization forward by generating approximately 70% of our annual revenue. A student intern will have the opportunity to join two campaign plans in order to create an efficient, effective and unified overall team operation.

Responsibilities:
•Work closely with Walk and Bike MS team managers to analyze their campaign plans
•Provide recommendations and prepare a unified overall team campaign
•Organize Walk or Bike MS team of at least 10 people
•Create system for ongoing team correspondence (i.e. cards are sent to them on special dates, etc.)
•Brainstorm and secure fun and unique incentives and prizes for teams: helicopter rides, weekend getaways, etc.
•Assist with organizing team weeks for Walk and Bike MS teams
•Coordinate contests for staff during team weeks
•Create toolkit for lunch n’ learns (i.e. presentation tools for workplaces that want to start a team)
•Assist with planning and carrying out Hike, Ride and Lunch event in April for Walk and Bike teams
•Assist with preparation for Denver Walk MS
•Serve as liaison to teams during Denver Walk MS: Saturday, May 1
•Serve as liaison to teams during Bike MS: June 26-27 (preferred but optional)

Volunteers Needed:   1
Special Requirements:   -Willing to work hard, ask questions, think strategically, and brainstorm for fun new ideas -Strong analysis and communication skills over the phone, in person, and via e-mail -Ability to create a professional presentation -Strong sense of purpose and a passion for working i n an open, friendly environment while working to unify Walk and Bike MS teams! Minimum of 20 hours per week during business hours (8:30am-4:30pm) ideally starting in February and ending in early July. Some events fall on nights and weekends. Hours and timeframe are flexible upon requirements of the internship and student’s schedule.
