Description:
The Delaware Foster Grandparent Program is now accepting applications from senior citizens, age 60 or over, to mentor/tutor with special needs children in day cares, Head Starts, schools, and detention center. Foster Grandparents must be willing to serve between 15-40 hours a week. In turn, eligible Foster Grandparents will receive a tax-free stipend of $3.45 a hour, sick, vacation, holiday and mileage reimbursement.

Special Requirements:	Applicants must 60 years or older, willing to serve between 15-40 hours a week, and sincerely interested in helping children. A background check is mandatory, as well as an annual physical both covered by the Delaware Foster Grandparent Program. A tax-free stipend of $3.45 per hour may be offered to those applicants who fall within the Federal income guidelines - this is based on a sliding scale. Previous experience or educational requirements not needed.
