In addition to Volunteer Frederick's volunteer referral and promotion service, we have several other programs for volunteers. Click on the links below to learn more!
Volunteer Programs for Youth and Older Adults:
Emergency Volunteer Programs:
- Volunteer & Medical Reserve Corps recruits, trains, and mobilizes volunteers to meet the needs of agencies and citizens before, during and after local or regional disasters.
- Volunteer Mobilization Centers (VMCs) could be called into service during a major disaster to register and deploy volunteers who respond to calls for help from the Frederick County Office of Emergency Management.
Countywide Beautification and Fundraising Program:
- The BIG Sweep mobilizes hundreds of volunteers for a county-wide beautification and fundraising event that turns trash into cash for Frederick area nonprofit organizations, civic organizations and clubs.
Volunteer Programs for Businesses:
- The Business Volunteer Council (BVC) is a network of businesses that meets monthly to network and share best practices for developing effective employee volunteer programs and collaborative service projects.
