The Volunteer Center of Brown County, is a not-for-profit agency governed by a twelve member Board of Directors. The vision of the Center is to mobilize people and resources to deliver creative solutions to serious community needs.
To achieve this vision, the Center:
- Connects people of all ages with opportunities to serve
- Builds the capacity for effective volunteering
- Promotes volunteerism
- Participates in strategic initiatives that mobilize volunteers to meet local community need
In addition to mobilizing a pool of energetic, talented volunteers, the Volunteer Center also strengthens the infrastructure of volunteerism by working with local agencies that utilize volunteers.
The Volunteer Center works with local non-profit organizations that have a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations to help them utilize the time and talent of volunteers in the most efficient and effective way possible. Such organizations are invited and encouraged to become affiliate members of the Volunteer Center.
