Description:
FIRN, a private nonprofit serving the foreign-born, is looking for volunteers to help with a special enrichment project for ESOL students at Phelps Luck Elementary School, starting on November 12 from 4:15-5:30. Volunteers will assist a classroom teacher to teach students how to make easy no-bake recipes, while encouraging English conversation and vocabulary development. Experience and desire working with children or in a multi-cultural environment preferred. Volunteers over the age of 18 need to undergo a criminal background check (at FIRN's expense).
