Volunteer Center Programs

EVP’sEmployee Volunteer Programs~ The Volunteer Center has resources available for your company’s employee volunteer programs.  Volunteerism is one of the investments corporations can make in civil society to ensure their own long term viability, enhance public image, strengthen employee skills, improve moral and increase their recruitment and retention of talent.    

Youth Outreach To provide resources for the schools, strengthen our connections so that volunteerism and community spirit are part of K-12 education.   The benefits for the youth is it dramatically improves their lives by teaching life skills and nurtures caring values.

Boomerang~  This program is designed to encourage people 55+ years old to volunteer.  Doing regular volunteer work, more that any other activity, dramatically increases life expectancy and leads to a longer and healthier life.

Clearinghouse Collections~ Monthly collection calendar of donated items for nonprofit agencies in the community.  The VC can help individuals and groups set up drives as well as offer advertising, promotional and advisory support for these drives. In 2007, volunteer groups collected $37,383.50 in donated items for area nonprofits.

CHAP Community Hours Advocacy Program~ The VC is the conduit between the Court system, court ordered community hour recipients and area nonprofit agencies. The individuals doing community service have gained valuable experience and knowledge and, most importantly, have formed a connection with the community.
