Description:
Volunteers are invited to tutors adults, age 16 years or older, whose literacy skills are below the ninth-grade level. Subjects include reading, writing, math, daily living skills, workplace skills and English as second language. All materials provided at no charge to both volunteers and students. Businesses and social services agencies are invited to partner with VLC.

Time Details:
tutoring times are flexible depending on volunteer and client availability. We ask for a minimum of 3 hours per week.
Tutors must be 18 or older and possess at least a high school diploma or GED. Initial 2 hours of training/information followed by additional individualized training with program directors.
