Volunteer Info:

We’d love to have you join our volunteer team. Just come in and fill out some paperwork with your name, phone number and emergency contact number, and experience.

We ask that you be 18 years of age. If you are younger, we will still appreciate your help, but an adult must accompany you at all times.

We ask that you complete our volunteer orientation class, which is offered the first Saturday of every month, and then you’ll be ready to go!

General Info:

We have some volunteers who come in and help clean. Others walk the dogs, and some play with and brush our cats. Whatever your interest might be, we have a furry niche for you!

If you are in need of Community Service hours, this is a great way to fulfill that requirement, but you are responsible for tracking your hours.

We also welcome group volunteers such as Girl/Boy Scouts, school groups, etc… Please contact Kim or Collette at 970-353-4587 at least 1 week in advance to set up a time for your group to volunteer.

Rescue hours of operation are Monday thru Friday, 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday’s 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Just a reminder, please make sure to bring a bottle of water and snacks appropriate for the time you plan to spend with us. Also, please have the appropriate clothing and footwear for the day. Flip-flops and sandals are not recommended, even in the summer.
