We take the time to work one-on-one with every volunteer that comes through our door. If you have questions about volunteering or want to register for a volunteer orientation, call us at (360) 734-3055. We'll help you discover your skills and interests and get you started in your volunteering life. Orientations take about 45 minutes - people say it's time well spent!
Whatcom County Is a Leader in Volunteering
In 2008, over 4,860 volunteers enrolled with Whatcom Volunteer Center contributed more than 296,818 hours of volunteer work in Whatcom County. That time is valued at more than $6 million (Independent Sector works out the value of a volunteer hour annually.)
Volunteers are the backbone of many organizations. Your help provides education to youth, dignity to seniors, shelter and love for domestic animals, healthcare access, and restoration for the natural environment that makes the Pacific Northwest a unique and special place.
